AGI is a myth because GI is a myth

Humans don’t have general intelligence. We have a collection of capacities tuned to our evolutionary needs.

We experience our intelligence as “general” because everything we need to think about we can.

That’s what current and future AI are and will be. Collections of different kinds of intelligences working in the niches they’re needed. We can create “general” or human-like intelligence with the right collection of capacities working in harmony.
