Why do people cheer for the profits of our corporate overlords?
OpenAI, valued at $157B, locked down AI access, jacked up prices, and now it’s suing others for doing what it did to get ahead. DeepSeek offers cheaper AI, and OpenAI’s response? Try to shut them down.
Meanwhile, people act like these AI monopolies getting richer is a win. It’s not. The more they make, the more you pay. High valuations don’t mean high stock prices for most—just higher costs, more control, and fewer choices.
If OpenAI, Google, and others start losing market grip, that’s good for everyone.
Cheaper AI. More access. More innovation.
Anyone else rooting against the AI giants? 🤔
