AI System to Call Hotels for Receipts

Hi everyone, as part of my job I have to book several dozen hotel rooms each week across the U.S. for various traveling employees. It’s up to 70 individual rooms per week! We’ve been using AI on the booking side of this job for a while now, and I’m wondering if AI can help us on the financial settlement side of this, specifically with retrieving receipts to be processed by our accounting department.

One of the main struggles is just getting the receipts from the hotels in the first place. I would say about 60% of the time, a followup phone call is required with the hotel after the stay to get them to send a digital receipt to a company email address that then more or less auto-files them. This turns into a tremendous amount of time spent on the phone asking hotel desk attendants for receipts; it’s a very repetitive process that relies on a few key questions and pieces of information which leads me to my question about AI.

Here is my question: Is there an AI calling system I could set up to directly call these hotels and pretend to be me in requesting the receipts?

Obviously, the system would need to know which hotel it’s calling, which confirmation number/credit card is associated with the stay, the dates of the stay, etc., in order to guide the desk attendant in successfully getting to the correct receipt. And I’m sure I’m not considering all the challenges associated with such a system, so I’m open to all ideas, suggestions, thoughts, concerns, etc.
